  • 6:30PM CST: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers vs. James Madison Dukes -8

This Coastal Carolina defense is not as good as I initially expected. They have been struggling mightily since facing Virginia. Now, they must face James Madison after a loss. The Dukes have a great defense and should be looking for blood. They have dominated this matchup in blowout fashion the only two times they faced each other. The Chanticleers committed 15 penalties at home against ODU and allowed almost 500 yards of total offense. It looks like a big number, but I think the Dukes can force a turnover and turn it up on Coastal Carolina. The Coastal offense struggles against tough defenses because of their size.

Play: James Madison -8 (-108) [via DraftKings]

  • 7:00PM CST: UTEP Miners vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers -20; Total 56

UTEP is going through a massive overhaul and it’s going to take some time for them to rebuild a once-proud program. They are terrible on both sides of the ball and could not keep up with Sam Houston's speed. The Hilltoppers are coming off a bye week with the opportunity to finally beat up on an opponent. They have played strong all season against comparable competition. Now, I think they unleash a little frustration after the bye week on UTEP and that defense.

  • 7:00PM CST: Mid Tenn. State Blue Raiders vs. Louisiana Tech Bulldogs -4.5

Louisiana Tech’s lone win this season was against Nicholls. They haven’t faced a tough schedule outside of North Carolina State. When they have faced comparable competition, they have lost to the likes of Tulsa and Florida International. Middle Tennessee State took the opposite road and has had a tough schedule to begin the season with games against Duke, Ole Miss, and Memphis. Now, they get to face a more common opponent in LaTech. Louisiana Tech shouldn’t be favored by more than a field goal against anyone (maybe UTEP). Give me the points in a game MTSU can very well win.

Play: MTSU +4.5 (-112) [via DraftKings]
