Last night we were all over Notre Dame and cashed in after a hard fought game. We knew the game was going to come down to turnovers and it did. We missed on the total but we move on to tonight. Let’s get into this Cotton Bowl showdown!
Ohio State is flying high after brutalizing Tennessee at home and Oregon in the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes offense is firing on all cylinders. An offense full of NFL talent has their chests puffed out walking tall into Texas. Now, they must go against the best defense in the country that is full of NFL talent themselves.
The Longhorns have some of the best defensive players in the country and they’ll be game especially after all of the talk coming from the Buckeyes. Are the Buckeyes overconfident coming into this game? And will that play right into the hands of the Texas defense?
Ohio State isn’t the only team that has an offense with NFL talent. Texas also brings plenty of talent and experience into this game. The Ohio State defense will be tested. I always thought Oregon was a pretender but I thought the same about Ohio State. Someone will be getting exposed tonight.
I think Texas takes a page out of the Michigan Wolverines playbook and they lean heavily on the power running game with hopes it opens up the pass. Arizona State stuffed the Texas running game but the Longhorns will be at full health on the offensive line. I look for the Texas defense to stuff Ohio State tonight. They have the best defensive backs in the country with a great pass rush. Ohio State has weapons but they haven’t faced a defense like this before. Texas has also faced Will Howard in the past.
Ohio State vs. Texas. Who will be the real contender to punch their ticket? Who will be outed as a fraud? Will we have another all-time game as these two meet once again? I think so with the Longhorns coming out victorious. They are powerful in the trenches, have the better defense and NFL defensive backs. Give me that over the Buckeyes offense. Texas wins this one outright. The recency bias for Ohio State with its big win over Oregon has gotten out of control. They are now favored by -9.5 in a potential meeting against Notre Dame. Absolutely wild. Texas shut’s this Buckeyes team up once and for all. The country will gain some respect for this Texas defense.
