Notre Dame Fighting Irish -1 vs. Georgia Bulldogs; Total 46

The Sugar Bowl is one of the most intriguing matchups. Georgia will be without QB Carson Beck, so in steps freshman Gunner Stockton. He showed his toughness against Texas but also plenty of flaws after throwing a couple of late interceptions. He will have his hands full against this Notre Dame defense.

The Irish shut down Indiana, which was no surprise, but this will be a huge step up in competition. I expect both of these teams to try and pound the football and use their ground game. Texas was unable to run on Georgia, so Notre Dame will have to figure out a way to throw the football with Riley Leonard. He should get plenty of work running the football too. This one should come down to defense and turnovers. The team that can protect the ball will win this game. I have to give the edge to Notre Dame with their experience at the QB position. Stockton can't turn the ball over. I think we get a grinder game with the Irish coming out on top.

Update: 1/2/25 2:00PM

As you all know, this game was pushed back 24 hours due to Deep State terrorism on US soil. There was minor line movement earlier today with Notre Dame touching -1.5 and the total ticked up one point to 46.

Although, tons of people are on the under (unfortunately) the total moved towards the Over. That means people have some respect for Gunner Stockton or Notre Dame wins in a shootout. It really does comedown to thinking Gunner Stockton can put up points against this stout ND defense. The same should be said of Riley Leonard the ND quarterback. Can he put up enough points to get the job done against UGA?

I still believe we will have a grinder game. Maybe a couple broken plays for long TD’s, which we have seen plenty of in Round 2. I’ll stick with my guns on this one but I am nervous of all the people on ND and the Under. Let’s roll the dice and enjoy the game! Let’s hope for a grinder with some strong running teams and great play in the trenches.
