Last weekend, we made a massive error. We gambled instead of making calculated decisions based on research. I got cocky and paid the price for it. We also chased just because Cincinnati blew a 20-point lead. We will learn from our mistakes and move on!

  • 6:30PM CST: Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Texas State Bobcats -1.5; Total 59.5

This has shaped up to be a great matchup between two undefeated teams looking to continue their strong starts to the season. Arizona State just rolled through Mississippi State at home, and Texas State dominated rival UTSA in San Marcos.

The Texas State Bobcats will be coming off what is probably their biggest regular season win in team history, having defeated rival UTSA for the first time in six tries. They looked unstoppable and disciplined in that game. They will be looking to replicate this performance against ASU.

Arizona State had a great weekend as well, easily defeating Mississippi State at home. Not only did they defeat MSU, but they also punished them on the ground. The Sun Devils finished the game with 346 rushing yards and only 69 passing yards. Will they be able to do the same against Texas State?

Texas State might be feeling a little overconfident in this matchup after destroying UTSA. Will they be focused? Maybe UTSA isn’t as good as we thought. They struggled in the second half against Kennesaw State, and then Kennesaw State got killed by Louisiana. How good is Texas State? How good is Arizona State? I’m not sure we will know until tonight. One thing is clear: this Arizona State football team is massive. They are big on both sides of the ball and look to impose their will on opponents. This is still a huge step up in competition for Texas State, especially in the trenches. Arizona State is also well-coached, and I don’t think they will be looking down on the Bobcats as some may think.

Texas State, I’ve a feeling you’re not in the Sun Belt anymore. I like Arizona State’s rushing game, defense, and size advantage over Texas State. This should be a great game because both teams will be tested. Texas State will do everything they can to force ASU to throw the ball. I don’t think we get a high flying game. It should be more of a grind out game.
